Applications Open for the 2026 European Water-Smart Awards

The search for the 2026 Water-Smart winners has officially begun, offering innovators a chance to be honored in front of EU Commissioners and industry leaders. The 2026 European Water-Smart Awards are a core component of Water Innovation Europe (WIE) 2026, taking place in Dublin’s Silicon Docks on 13-14 October.

With the 2027 Water Framework Directive objectives approaching, the event focuses on “Raising the bar” through collective action. WIE2026 will explore strategies to mobilize private investment and advance blue finance, ensuring the transition to a Water-Smart society.

The Awards recognize excellence across six categories: Industry, City and Region, Agriculture, River Basin, Investment & Finance, and WOLL of the Year. Finalists gain access to an exclusive Alumni Network and unparalleled visibility in the official Water Innovation Europe Report.

Winners will be presented with their trophies during the Gala Dinner on 13 October.
